As World War II nears its conclusion, 14-year-old Michiel finds himself drawn into the Resistance when he assists a wounded British soldier. Amid the closing chapters of the conflict, Michiel undergoes a profound coming-of-age experience, where he confronts the stark contrast between the allure of adventure fantasies and the grim and harsh realities of war.
